Mobile Workshops Details

• Registration for a mobile workshop is limited and at an additional cost that must be pre-paid prior to participation.

• Mobile Workshop Terms and Conditions must be agreed to in order to participate.

• Moderate walking is involved in all mobile workshops. We recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes and being prepared for varying temperatures.

• Shuttle boarding begins at 8:40am for each mobile workshop.

• All participants will gather and then divide into groups to proceed on their pertinent tour.

Terms & Conditions for Mobile Workshops

IN CONSIDERATION of the services provided by AIANTA and the 2017 American Indian Tourism Conference, the Host Committee, or any entity involved with planning and/or executing a mobile workshop, the participant agrees to the following:
  1. The participant acknowledges that AIANTA, the 2017 Host Committee members and its subcontractors have taken reasonable steps to provide the participant with appropriate equipment and guide services so that he/she may enjoy an activity for which they may not be skilled; the participant understand this activity is not without risk. The participant understands that certain risks cannot be eliminated without destroying the unique character of this activity. The same elements that contribute to the unique character of this activity can be causes of loss or damage to myself, or accidental injury or illness, or in extreme cases, permanent trauma or death.
  2. The participant agrees to assume the responsibility for the risks identified and those risks not specifically identified. Their participation in this activity is purely voluntary; no one is forcing them to participate, and that he/she elect to participate in spite of the risks. Therefore the participant assumes full responsibility for his/herself and for any bodily injury, death or loss of personal property and expenses thereof, which the participate may incur as a result of those inherent risks and damages and of their negligence in participating in this activity. The participate further covenant not to sue and waive, release and discharge the 2017 Host Committee, AIANTA or their agents, subcontractors, employees or assignees from any and all claims or liability or any bodily injury, death, or loss of personal property arising out of their participation in the off-site sessions and events.
  3. The participate agrees to abide by any requirements of the mobile workshop host regarding proper attire for the particular tour, and they agree to abide by the safety rules of the transportation company engaged to bring the group to and from the mobile workshop site.
The participate has read, understood and accepts the terms and conditions stated herein and acknowledge these terms and conditions shall be effective and binding upon his/herself, heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and estate, and for any members of the participator’s family, including any minors which may accompany them in such activities and events.
