Bobbi Rahder is a museum professional with 25 years of demonstrated experience in museum management. With a Master’s Degree in Museum Studies, she has served as museum director, curator, and collections manager at several museums. For 13 years she worked at Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, KS, to help them create and operate the Haskell Cultural Center and Museum. She has extensive grant writing and marketing skills, and has curated many exhibitions and educational programs from museum collections.
As museum director for the Stewart Indian School Cultural Center, she is creating a museum in the newly renovated administration building at the Stewart Indian School in Carson City, NV. This cultural center will have exhibitions and programming about Stewart as told from the perspective of the alumni. This cultural center is part of a Master Plan to honor the students from Stewart and to interpret the campus as a former government boarding school that is evolving into a tribal heritage tourism destination.
