Dan Cornelius

Dan Cornelius, Intertribal Agriculture Council

Dan’s primary responsibility is helping Indian Tribes and Native producers gain better access to USDA programs, which extends to providing general support on a host of food and agriculture issues. Much of the work is focused on strengthening regional connections through workshops, development of joint efforts, and a new Mobile Farmers Market that is seeking to fill a void in regional distribution and marketing.

The Mobile Farmers Market is a uniquely innovative project aimed at 1) expanding producers’ market access and 2) increasing Tribal communities availability of fresh, healthy, and traditional foods. The position also works on law and policy issues, particularly at the federal and Tribal levels.
